Flat belt conveyor

What is belt conveyor
The belt conveyor is a critical aggregate handling equipment in concrete batching plants, responsible for transporting proportioned sand and gravel materials to the aggregate holding hopper. With its length accounting for approximately 3/4 of the entire plant’s footprint, its performance directly impacts the production capacity of the batching plant.

Conveyor Belt
Typically constructed from wear-resistant, anti-tear rubber or steel cord belts, featuring anti-slip surface patterns for material stability.
Drive Unit
Comprises electric motor, gear reducer, and drive pulley, providing reliable power transmission.

Application of belt conveyor for concrete in concrete mixing plant
Loading stage: conveying aggregate from the ground yard or storage bin to the temporary storage bin on top of the mixing building.

Belt conveyor for concrete working principle
The belt conveyor for concrete is mainly composed of two end-point rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly set on them. The roller that drives the conveyor belt to rotate is called the driving roller (transmission roller); the other roller that only changes the direction of the conveyor belt movement is called the redirecting roller. An electric motor drives the drive roller through a reducer, and the friction between the drive roller and the conveyor belt drags the conveyor belt. The drive roller is generally installed at the discharge end to increase the traction force, which is favorable for dragging. The material is fed from the feeding end, falls on the rotating conveyor belt, and is discharged from the unloading end relying on the friction of the conveyor belt to drive the delivery bag.
